THE CHALLENGE
The primary challenge for this product was to create a simple and bold design that would motivate and hold the interest of the target audience—firefighters who want to quit chewing tobacco. We wanted to ensure that firefighters felt the look and feel were aligned with them, and that the information was presented in an easy-to-use manner.
THE PROCESS
We were provided a preliminary script by the client, which allowed us to create initial low fidelity wireframes. We recommended a dashboard that would help users see their overall progress and keep their reasons to stay motivated top of mind. After a couple feedback sessions we moved to finalize a look and feel that would resonate with firefighters.
THE RESULTS
The final app is easy to use and compelling. Users are guided through several modules, beginning with preparation to quit and ending with advice and commitment to stay off tobacco products. Users can easily see their progress at any point, revisit their quit statements, check resources and more by navigating cleanly labeled iconographic buttons.
